Storepass vs TCGSync

Keep the TCG-specific operations. Keep customers as your own.

TCGSync offers an unusually broad all-in-one feature set, including a standalone storefront, POS, buylist, events, deckbuilder, live selling, and wide marketplace coverage. Storepass is the stronger fit when reliable ecommerce and conversion-focused storefront tools matter more going wide listing products on high fee marketplaces.

Start with fit

Different tools optimize for different stores.

A feature count is only useful after the operating model is clear. These are the clearest public positions for each platform. We're not claiming that one system is right for every retailer.

Storepass position

Storepass

Vertical tools for stores that want to own the customer relationship

Storepass goes deep on the card-store customer journey rather than just focusing wide on marketplace connections. Flexible themes, search, merchandising, POS, buylist, customer credit, local inventory, and in-store experiences help retailers turn shoppers into a durable base of direct, repeat, and loyal customers.

Competitor strength

TCGSync

All-in-one standalone TCG commerce

Retailers prioritizing a broad native feature set and marketplace coverage, with Shopify optional rather than foundational.

Side-by-side

Compare the operating model, not just the checklist.

“Positive” markers highlight a documented strength, not an absolute winner. Availability can depend on plan, region, marketplace approval, and implementation.

Where Storepass leads

Build customer relationships that compound.

Marketplaces can add reach, but they own the shopping relationship and take a cut of each sale. Storepass focuses on the vertical tools card stores need to build direct customer relationships through a differentiated online experience, connected in-store service, and reasons to return. The result is a durable engine for repeat business and loyalty, not just another channel for one-off transactions.

Public feedback

Signals worth testing in your own proof of concept.

TCGSync's public reviews are mostly positive but unusually polarized for a small sample. Treat the negative reports as questions to settle in a proof of concept and read the company's replies before drawing a conclusion.

User-reported

TCGSync

Recent Trustpilot reviews are polarized: most are positive, while two one-star reviewers described onboarding, feature reliability, ticket-response, fee, and refund disputes.

At the July 2026 review date, Trustpilot showed 16 total reviews, a 4/5 TrustScore, and 19% one-star reviews. TCGSync replied publicly to the negative reviews and disputed important parts of those accounts.

Questions to settle

Before you choose a platform.

Does TCGSync support more marketplaces than Storepass?

TCGSync publishes a broader native marketplace list, including Cardmarket, eBay, CardSynced, CardTrader, Mana Pool, and Shopify. Storepass is positioned around store-owned Shopify or BigCommerce commerce plus CardTrader workflows. Test approval status, sync delays, and reconciliation, not only channel count.

Which is more predictable as online revenue grows?

Storepass Starter and higher plans use flat monthly pricing with no Storepass sales commission. TCGSync publishes a 2% fee on TCG item sales for Storefront Pro, or a higher Enterprise subscription that removes the fee. Model both against current and projected TCG revenue.

Can we keep our Shopify store with either platform?

Yes. Storepass uses Shopify as a primary commerce foundation. TCGSync can connect an existing Shopify store as a sales channel. Storepass also supports BigCommerce, which TCGSync does not prominently document as a commerce option.
